• Record audio directly from a webpage
• Convert audio to text using AI
• Optionally apply custom prompts or transformations
• Save or insert the transcribed text into input fields or store it locally in your browser

We believe in user control, transparency, and privacy by design. Your data belongs to you — not to us.

2. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address, which is used for authentication and communication
• Any profile information you choose to provide (e.g., display name, preferences, or avatar)

We use this information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide access to premium or personalized features
• Communicate important updates or support-related messages
• Manage your subscription

We do not sell or share your account data with third parties.

b. Audio Data

When you record audio:

• The recording stays local in your browser by default
• If you use your own API keys, audio is sent only to your chosen AI provider (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) for transcription or processing
• We do not store or access your audio files
• If you use subscription plan, we use an external server for post-processing your audios, and all data is immediately deleted afterward.

c. Transcribed Text

Transcribed text may be:

• Inserted directly into the input field from which the recording was initiated, or
• Temporarily stored in your browser (local storage or IndexedDB) for your convenience

We do not collect, store, or share your transcription content on our servers.

d. Usage Data (Non-personal)

To improve functionality, we may collect anonymized data such as:

• Extension version
• Language preferences
• Error logs (without content or personal data)

This information cannot identify you personally.

3. API Keys and AI Providers

If you choose to connect your own API keys for AI processing:

• Your keys are stored locally in your browser only
• They are never sent to our servers
• You remain fully responsible for usage and billing of your chosen AI provider

If you are on a SaaS plan (no API key required):

• Audio may be securely transmitted to our managed backend for processing
• We process it only to generate your transcription result, then delete it immediately after completion

4. Data Retention

• We do not store audio or text on our servers unless explicitly required for SaaS processing
• All locally stored data (transcriptions, preferences, prompts) can be deleted anytime from the Extension’s settings
• SaaS users’ temporary processing data is automatically deleted within 24 hours after transcription is completed
• Account Information is retained for as long as your account remains active or as required by law; you may delete your account at any time by contacting us

5. Third-Party Services

Depending on your configuration, the Extension may interact with:

• AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)
• Browser APIs (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox)

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those providers before use. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

a. Cookies in the Extension

The Chrome Extension itself does not use cookies.

All settings and data are stored locally in your browser (local storage).

We do not track your browsing activity or collect any behavioral data through the Extension.
